Starship Troopers: Extermination Update 0.4.0 Now Available

Offworld Industries and Sony Pictures Consumer Products have released the second update to the Early Access release of Starship Troopers: Extermination.

Update 0.4.0 (dubbed the Relentless Hordes update) adds a new survival-based combat mode in the form of Horde Mode. In it, players will take on swarms of enemies that gradually increase in difficulty, all while fortifying one’s base. From there players can take a step back to manage their player profile.

16 players can team up in squads of four to defend their base, choosing between Hunter (Assault), Operator (Support), and Bastion (Defense) classes. Meanwhile, players will have to contend with Drone, Warrior, Gunner, Plasma Grenadier, and Tiger enemy Bugs. In order to get ahead, players will be able to use a ‘Ping’ system to call out things like points of interest, objectives, and incoming enemies.

All those interested can find the game on Steam here.
